@Michael_S_Miller There's no rush.

That's amazing! I am still having a buddy help to import the data from the old Community here, but I like what you're doing. It may make sense to keep the post title on the top of subsequent pages as discussion goes long. Probably also you want to…

I feel like I can talk more about a book than write about a book.

@Michael_S_Miller Do you want to call dibs on a month?

Lotta goodness here.

I'm reading Dark Orbit now and enjoying it! I'm down with Mission of Gravity, and particularly to hear from folks who haven't had a pick. There's no shortage of good books! I personally like not packing the calendar full. Also, is it worth talking…

BGG has specific definitions for its ratings. (Quote) Which is why there are so few 10s IMHO.

Thieves' World sprung to mind as a "shared space" example, even though I haven't read it in probably over 20 years. "Serial" implies to me specifically pieces of a story being released. Steven King's Green Mile or the Plant, or …

I also enjoyed reading the first one, but I couldn't get through the second. I do feel it could have used another round through the rock tumbler to smooth out some rough edges.

@RichardAbbott Do you have access to Overdrive on the UK side? The eBook may be available from the library.

I'm at the start of Chapter 9, not entirely eager to push through.

For some reason, the style so far reminds me of The Princess Bride. I wish it were as engaging, though. On page 80 or so.

(Quote) Perfect, I skipped it already.

Good news, the Inter-Library Loan request I placed came through and I got this today! Mine has a cool map included, not sure if your copies do. (Image)

I actually read it after seeing the trailer, I enjoyed it on a YA level. The worldbuilding was fantastic!

Actual vote: 1. Dark Orbit 2. Vermilion Sands 3. Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang I do want to read the Songs of Distant Earth, though. Not feeling the Sparrow or Ubik.
