• There also seems to be some Lore or ritual aspect to it. Not so much in Suldrun, but later some lesser magicians interpret the schedule of dimensions aligning. (It’s hard to stay focused on the first book after learning more later.)

• I also thought book 1 started off a little slow and dry. I didn’t notice the change but after a certain point I was flying through it and then the next two books as well. I’m disappointed now that there aren’t more.
