Downbelow Station gets the Dr.Mitch seal of approval. Though I ended up giving up on Cyteen.

When we read The Pride of Chanur in the club, consensus was very much not in favor.

Oh, I remember. I liked it. I recall a lot of people didn't get on at all with the writing style- and to be fair it does take a little getting used to. But it had the Knnn!

The invention of the Knnn buys a lot of forgiving, I agree, Paul! One of the great alien species, up there with Pierson's Puppeteers.

I love her style. By the time I get half-way through one of her books, I end up sounding like her too, with her rhythms and word choices.
