@clash_bowley@NeilNjae@BarnerCobblewood Any comments on this? Some might have already bought Plutoshine and started it, in which case I’d suggest just to proceed among those who can get it.
I'm leaning to Riddle of the Sands. I love sailing books, and I don't think we've ever read espionage books in the club. Also it's available on Kindle, which Plutoshine is not.
After that the rota has @kcaryths for September and @Apocryphal for October, but if @BarnerCobblewood would like to leap in with a selection that would be great.
Managed to snag Riddle of the Sands for 0.99 on Kindle and my daughter is going to let me use it to read the book. Better get cracking! Had two audiobooks pop up on Libby from the library so I am trying to finish those before they need to get returned as well (since the one took months to show up).
Hi all, discussion of Riddle of the Sands seems to be dwindling now but if anyone's got anything more to add please jump in Also, a reminder that August's read is Arkhangelsk chosen by @clash_bowley
I'm thinking of The House on the Borderland by William Hope Hodgeson for October.
Penguin recently released this in a new 'weird fiction' line, so it should be readily available despite it's age. Let me know if you have any comments.

> Plutoshine looks quite good. I am surprised it's not more readily available!
Me too, especially as it did well in the Arthur Clarke awards
I'm easy either way. It's pricey to get Plutoshine in time from amazon.ca.

Right, I'll swap it over... prepare to see it mysteriously change before your very eyes...
Shazaam!
Questions posted for The Curious Traveller's Guide to the Wastelands. I had a lot of thoughts!
Still some chatter going on regarding The Curious Traveller's Guide to the Wastelands which has stimulated a lot of good stuff.
This is also a reminder that July's read is Riddle of the Sands by Erskine Childers, chosen by me.
@clash_bowley any thoughts for an August read?

What are we doing in August, @clash_bowley
I am thinking Arkangelsk by Elizabeth Bonesteel (Amazon Link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09NML4V97/ref=kinw_myk_ro_title). I have not read anything by this author, but it looked interesting, and her name is badass...
I've not heard of her either but sounds fun. If there's general agreement I'll set up the discussion area later in the week

How are people getting on with Riddle of the Sands? I'm planning to post discussion starters next weekend if everyone's happy with that
I am well into it. Should be no problem!
Discussion starters for Riddle of the Sands now in place

@kcaryths Looks like you're up in September. Anything brewing?
That came along fast - time to think on this!
I am thinking of City by Clifford Simak. I didn't see it on the reading list already.
I've not heard of it before (in fact I've read almost no Simak) but it looks intriguing!
I have read it a while ago.
If all are OK then I'll set up the discussion area over the next few days
